Eligibility for Edinburgh Law School & Cameron Ph.D. Studentships:

Applicants must:

Be applying to start the first year of full-time or part-time PhD study in Edinburgh Law School in the 2026/27 academic year (September 2026 or January 2027 entry).
Meet the School’s minimum entry requirements for the PhD Law programme.
Typically exceed minimum requirements, having achieved top classification in at least one previous degree.
Submit a strong research proposal closely aligned with the School’s research areas.
Apply in any legal or law-related subject area.
Be UK or international applicants.
Note: International applicants needing visa sponsorship are not eligible for part-time study.

Value of Edinburgh Law School & Cameron PhD Studentships:

These scholarships will pay tuition fees and an annual stipend in line with UKRI rates. The stipend will be paid in equal monthly instalments for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory progress. Awards will be paid pro rata for part-time candidates.
