The Dr. Ninian N. LeBlanc Alumni Award was created through a donation to UPEI to honour Dr. LeBlanc's outstanding contribution to UPEI and to continue his life's work.

Eligibility criteria for the Dr. Ninian N. LeBlanc Alumni Award:

  • Applicants must be entering first year at UPEI.
  • Applicants must be graduates of a Prince Edward Island high school.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Applicants must not already hold a renewable scholarship.
  • To renew the award, recipients must maintain full-time registration.
  • Recipients must maintain an academic average of at least 75% in the first year and 80% in subsequent years.
