Overview
The Day of Pride Scholarship is awarded to outstanding Connecticut secondary school seniors from underserved backgrounds who have demonstrated leadership, commitment to diversity, and financial need. It aims to support students in pursuing higher education at the University of Connecticut.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident Alien, or undocumented student residing in Connecticut for two or more years.
- Must be a Connecticut resident enrolled in and expected to graduate from a secondary school in the state.
- Must be enrolled in the Fall semester of 2027.
- Must demonstrate involvement in leadership activities in high school or the community.
- Must show a commitment to diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives.
- Optional submission of standardized test scores (SAT minimum: 1170, ACT minimum: 24).
- Minimum GPA of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale and rank in the top 15% of their graduating class (if available).
