Eligibility Criteria for Dalhousie Research Excellence Scholarship (DRES):

Applicants must:

Intend to start or transfer into a PhD program between January 2026 and January 2027
Be admitted to and registered in a doctoral program at Dalhousie University
Demonstrate exceptional research and leadership potential
Apply for the Tri-agency CGRS-D competition within the first two years of the PhD program.

Value of Dalhousie Research Excellence Scholarship (DRES):

$35,000 per year for up to four years (may become honorary if replaced by a higher-value CGRS-D award).
