    CSU Canvas Scholar's Award

    The CSU Canvas Scholar's Award helps to provide support for both college access and success for Coloradans who are the first in their family to attend college

    Eligibility Criteria for the CSU Canvas Scholar's Award:

    • Applicants must be Colorado residents.
    • Applicants must be first-generation students, meaning neither parent nor the student has received a bachelor's degree.
    • Applicants must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
    • Applicants must be first-time freshmen admitted to CSU.
    • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.

    Application process for the CSU Canvas Scholar's Award:

    • Applicants must apply through the Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA) between October 1 and March 1.
    • Applicants are selected based on eligibility and the strength of their CSUSA essay response.
    • To renew the award, recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment of at least 12 credits per semester.

    Award: USD 10,000 over up to 4 years.
