Named after Samford University’s first Rhodes Scholar (1910), the Crosland Scholarship recognizes students with outstanding academic achievements, strong character, and commitment to the common good.

Eligibility for the Crosland Scholarship:

  • Freshmen applicants:
    • ACT: 26 or higher or SAT: 1240 or higher
    • Minimum GPA: 3.5 (on 4.0 scale)
    • Applicants without test scores considered using weighted GPA.
  • Transfer applicants:
    • Minimum college GPA: 3.5
    • At least 24 credits of undergraduate coursework completed

Value of the Scholarship:

  • Average award: $17,500 per year
  • Can be combined with other scholarships (Davis and Marvin Mann Legacy)
  • Cannot be combined with the Marion Scholarship
