Copyright Licensing New Zealand Master of Creative Writing Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
This scholarship was established in 2017 by Copyright Licensing New Zealand. This scholarship aims to support students in the Creative Writing Programme, encourage growth in the publishing industry, and inspire the next generation of writers in New Zealand.
Eligibility Criteria of Copyright Licensing New Zealand Master of Creative Writing Scholarship:
- The scholarship is for students applying to the MA Creative Writing programme at the International Institute of Modern Letters, and recipients must be accepted into the programme to receive it, providing a written overview of their intended work that complies with copyright law.
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, with preference given to Māori and Pasifika students.
Selection Criteria: Applicants must have applied to the MA Creative Writing programme at the International Institute of Modern Letters, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, and be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, with preference given to Māori and Pasifika applicants.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Note:
- Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor and submit a blog post to be shared on Copyright Licensing New Zealand's website.
- Recipients will be invited to speak at the Authors Association First Writer’s Forum in September and receive a one-year membership to the NZ Society of Authors, arranged through Copyright Licensing New Zealand.
