Clare Galambos-Winter Scholarships in Violin Performance for School Leavers at Victoria University of Wellington
The Clare Galambos-Winter Scholarships support exceptionally talented violin (or cello) students at the New Zealand School of Music, fostering their performance careers. Offered in perpetuity, there are two scholarships: one for Honours students and one for undergraduates.
Eligibility Criteria of Clare Galambos-Winter Scholarships in Violin Performance for School Leavers:
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents up to 25 years old, intending to enrol in an undergraduate Music degree at the New Zealand School of Music — Te Kōkī, with a primary focus on violin performance and cello as a second choice.
Selection Criteria: This scholarship will be awarded to the most talented student in violin performance (second choice, cello performance) enrolling in their first year of an undergraduate degree in the New Zealand School of Music.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 3,000.

- Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor and actively engage with the New Zealand School of Music community, including participation in ensembles, presentations, or performances at NZSM or university events.
- The Scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
