China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarships, 2022

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarships aim to encourage top students from China to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) studies at the University of Auckland. The program fosters long-term research cooperation between the University of Auckland and Chinese universities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be citizens of China.
• Candidates should apply for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at the University of Auckland.
• Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set by the CSC for funding.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship provides a living allowance as prescribed by the Chinese government for the duration of the scholarship.
• It covers return airfare to New Zealand by the most economical route, student visa fees, and the cost of health insurance for international students.

Application Process:

• Search for a suitable supervisor and research project on the University of Auckland website.
• Contact the potential supervisor to confirm their support for your application.
• Apply for admission to the University of Auckland by submitting an online Application for Admission.
• In the application, indicate that you wish to be considered for a CSC scholarship.
• If offered a place, the University will send you a letter indicating that tuition fees will be waived if you secure a CSC scholarship.
• Submit a scholarship application to the CSC or through your home university.

Deadlines:

Applicants should allow at least three months for their application to be assessed by the University of Auckland.

CSC has its own deadline for scholarship applications.
