Certificate of Physical Activity and Hauora Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
These scholarships, funded by Te Hau Kori – Centre for Physical Activity and Wellbeing, support postgraduate students pursuing studies in Physical Activity, Play, Active Recreation, Sport for Development, and Public Health. They are available at postgraduate certificate, diploma, and master’s level to encourage participation in these new programs.
Eligibility Criteria of Certificate of Physical Activity and Hauora Scholarship:
Applicants must be domestic students accepted into the Certificate of Physical Activity and Hauora programme and enrolled part-time.
Selection Criteria: Scholarship recipients are selected by the co-directors of Te Hau Kori, with strong encouragement for applications from students facing financial hardship, as well as Māori, Pasifika, athletes, and refugees.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 5,500.
Note:
- The scholarship provides up to NZD 5,500 over two years to cover tuition, student services, and hardship fees.
- Recipients must submit a thank-you letter to the donor within one month of award and complete an annual Progress Report.
