Eligibility for Care Leavers Bursary at the University of Surrey 2023:
- Students must be under 25 years of age and will have been in care for at least 13 weeks after the age of 14
- Students' household income must meet all of the criteria.
- Students must be classified as UK or EU students.
- Students must be paying full tuition fees (therefore NHS-funded students and students who are being funded are not eligible)
- Students must also have correctly filled out and submitted their application to Student Finance England/Student Finance European Team for a loan and must also make sure that you and your parent/guardian have given your consent to share the information with the University.
Value of Care Leavers Bursary at the University of Surrey 2023:
The University of Surrey offers a guaranteed minimum bursary of GBP 1,000 on entry to qualifying students who have been in local authority care for 2023 entries.
Note:
The bursary will be awarded in every year of undergraduate study provided the recipient progresses normally in the program and excludes the Professional Training year or repeat periods of study.
