Overview

Mr. Bruce Wall was a prominent figure in Tasmania's farming community. On his farm, "Lake House" in Cressy, he implemented the most recent techniques and procedures. With his expertise, he was successful in breeding Corriedale sheep, Poll Hereford cattle, and commercial cattle. To support the development of talent among Tasmanian students enrolled at the University of Tasmania, trustees of the late Bruce Wall's estate decided to establish scholarships in his honor.

Eligibility for Bruce Wall Scholarship in Applied Science (Aquaculture) at the University of Tasmania:

This scholarship is open to open to a northern Tasmanian student starting their first year of the Associate Degree in Applied Science (Z2J) in 2023 with an emphasis on aquaculture. The applicant's interest in studying aquaculture and the caliber of their written application will be considered when selecting. Students who can show they will gain the most from the scholarship will be given preference.

Selection Criteria:

Selection will be based on the applicant's interest in pursuing studies in Aquaculture and on the quality of the written application. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate they will benefit the most from the scholarship.

Retaining the Scholarship:

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
