BP Widening Participation at Imperial College London
The BP Widening Participation Scholarship at Imperial College London is an undergraduate award for high-achieving students from underrepresented backgrounds who wish to study engineering.
Eligibility Criteria of BP Widening Participation:
- The applicant must have an offer of admission to a three- or four-year full-time undergraduate course in Chemical Engineering, Earth Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering starting in Autumn 2025.
- The applicant must possess Home fee status and qualify for the College’s contextual admissions route.
Selection Criteria: The Department within the Faculty of Engineering will assess applicants based on predicted A-Level results and their UCAS application. Shortlisted candidates will be ranked by their Departments, and the final selection will be made by the Faculty of Engineering.
Application Process:
- The applicant must submit a UCAS application for a course in one of the four Departments within the Faculty of Engineering and receive an offer of admission.
- The applicant must complete the scholarship application form (used for both BP Widening Participation and Kentfield Scholarships) and include a personal statement as per the form’s instructions.
Award: Bursary of GBP 9,500 per year, awarded for up to four years of study.
