Overview

The BMI Foundation is offering the BMI Future Jazz Master Scholarship to rising Jazz stars to pursue an academic degree in Jazz Performance, Jazz Studies, or related majors.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be US residents.
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 24.
  • Applicants may only submit one application per BMI Foundation awards program.
  • Applicants may not submit the same musical work to more than one BMI Foundation awards program.
  • Applicants may only submit works that have not been assigned to any major music publisher or major record label.

Application Process:

  • The applicants should submit three recordings of three performances (MP3 or MP4a files).
  • One of the above three submissions must be an original work.

Value of the Scholarship:

The recipients are awarded a sum disclosed at the discretion of the provider.
