Barrick Gold Graduate Scholarship at Lakehead University 2026

Overview:

Awarded to a graduate student with a background in geology who has financial need. Preference will be given to individuals of Indigenous heritage and/or an individual focused on mining issues. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who has resided in Ontario for twelve consecutive months prior to receipt of this award.

Eligibility for Barrick Gold Graduate Scholarship:

• Must be a graduate student with a background in Geology
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Preference will be given to students of Indigenous heritage and/or those whose studies focus on mining-related issues
• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Must have resided in Ontario for twelve consecutive months prior to receiving the award
