Eligibility for the Bank of Canada Governor's Award:
- The applicant must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or have another valid work visa.
- The candidate must carry out and support research in finance or economics in Canada (but nominations where the majority of the study is done there may also be taken into consideration).
- The candidates must have earned a Ph.D. within a decade following their nomination.
- Throughout the Award, the candidate must have an associate or assistant professorship at a Canadian university.
