Eligibility criteria for AUT Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship 2026:
Applicants must:
- Be applying as a new doctoral candidate.
- Hold an unconditional Offer of Place in the doctoral programme.
- Have a GPA of 8.0 or above in their most recent qualification completed at a New Zealand tertiary institution.
- (For Māori and domestic Pacific applicants) have a GPA of 7.5+ and be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Enrol in the doctoral programme within 3 months of receiving the scholarship.
Value of AUT Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship 2026:
- Full tuition fees (at domestic rate)
- Compulsory student services fee covered
- Annual stipend:
- NZ$34,737 (full-time)
- NZ$17,368.50 (part-time)
