Overview

The Commonwealth Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) funds universities to support the research training of both domestic and international higher degree research (HDR) candidates. The funding provided through the RTP offers the provision for universities to administer and award several stipend scholarships known as Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships.

Eligibility for the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship:

  • The applicant can be of any nationality.
  • The applicant must be commencing or enrolled in an HDR program (for which RTP support is available) at Griffith University.
  • The applicant must exhibit superior academic standing.
  • The applicant shall not receive financial support from any additional sources to cover the candidate's basic living expenses, which would render such support above 75% of the Guaranteed Undergraduate Program Rate stipend.
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree with First Class Honors.
  • The applicant must not have finished a degree at the same or an advanced level as the HDR program they are starting or currently enrolled.
  • The applicant must not have received or previously held the same scholarship.
