Overview

The objective of the ASTRO 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award is to support and encourage students with excellent academic merit and who possess an outgoing personality to enroll to study at the University.

Eligibility criteria for ASTRO 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award at ANU 2025:

  • The ASTRO 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award 2024 is open to all nationalities.
  • All the program-specific requirements must be met.
  • Applicable courses: Astronomy & Astrophysics
  • is enrolled in an Advanced Studies Course (SCNC2101, SCNC2102, SCNC2103, SCNC2104, SCNC3101, SCNC3102) as part of their Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) - Science degree program in the semester for which they have applied for the award; and;
  • intending to undertake a research project within the Advanced Studies Course:
  • under the supervision of the RSAA ASTRO 3D Centre of Excellence Director, or any of the RSAA ASTRO 3D Chief Investigators, RSAA ASTRO 3D Associate Investigators, or RSAA ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Fellows; and
  • which has been approved as a suitable student research project fitting into the ASTRO 3D research framework by the research project supervisor, the RSAA PhB Astrophysics Discipline Coordinator (RSAA PhB Convenor), and the College of Science PhB Convenor.

Value of ASTRO 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award:

  • The successful applicants will receive an amount of $3,000 per annum.

Applications: 

Applicants should submit an email to rsaa.sa@anu.edu.au (Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics (RSAA)) containing:

  • statement that they want to be considered for the award using the application form from the "Apply Now" link above
  • ASTRO 3D Project Proposal
  • a brief CV (1 page) with contact information for the ASTRO 3D research project supervisor
  • a copy of their current ANU transcript or statement of results from ISIS.
