The scholarship shall be available for award each year to students who:
- Applicants must have Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency,
- be accepted into the Fenner School of Environment and Society's Honours or Master's programs, and plan to conduct research at the National Arboretum Canberra on a relevant topic.
- Have an excellent academic record.
- Have willing and appropriate supervision.

- ANU Fenner School National Arboretum Canberra Scholarship 2024 provides up to AUD 5,000 per annum. The scholarship shall be paid in two equal installments unless otherwise stated in the formal scholarship offer letter.
