Eligibility criteria for Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) – International:
- Must be full-time, thesis-based graduate students in the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
- Must reside in Alberta at the time the award is paid.
- Master’s students must have completed ≤13 months of full-time study in their program.
- Doctoral students must have completed ≤37 months of full-time study in their program.
- Master’s-to-Doctoral transfer students must have completed ≤37 months in total, counted from the start of the master’s program.
- Must be either:
- Authorized to study in Canada with a valid study permit, or
- Registered to study at an Alberta post-secondary institution and have applied for a study permit.

The Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) – International is valued at $11,000, with a variable number of awards offered each year, and is tenable for a duration of one year.
