Overview

The main purpose of the Prize is to recognize the MBChB student who achieves the best performance in Paediatrics.

Eligibility for the Alan Simpson Memorial Prize:

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Auckland.
  • Be a Part VI MBChB student (final year of the programme).
  • Achieve the best overall performance in Paediatrics, including both academic and clinical assessments, in the final year.

Selection Process:

  • Nomination is made to the Scholarships Office
  • The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Paediatrics

Value of Alan Simpson Memorial Prize:

The value of the Prize will be $750.

Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.
