Overview:

Ajay Bhatia Equity Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students experiencing educational barriers and financial hardship. The award is established to promote equity and ensure that regardless of circumstance, students are supported to pursue higher education.

Eligbility for Ajay Bhatia Equity Scholarship UTS:

• Must be an Australian/NZ citizen, Australian permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa holder, or Temporary Protection Visa holder.
• Enrolled in a UTS undergraduate program with 48+ credit points remaining at the time of selection.
• Must demonstrate financial disadvantage through:
  • UAC Equity Scholarship and receiving a means-tested Commonwealth income support payment, or
  • A UTS Financial Assistance assessment (if ineligible for UAC or unable to apply).
• Apply online via the UTS Scholarship Application Form.

Selection Process:

• Likelihood that the Scholarship will increase the ability of the Recipient to complete their UTS course at a higher level of performance than would otherwise be the case;
• Financial need, as demonstrated by the UAC Equity Scholarship application. Motivation and commitment to succeed in their UTS degree program.

Value offered: The maximum total value of the Scholarship is $25,000.
