The Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary is available to student-athletes whose heritage is self-identified as either Black or Indigenous and provides additional financial support to those demonstrating financial need.

Eligibility for AFA - Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary:

  • Must be a registered student-athlete
  • Must self-identify as having Black or Indigenous heritage
  • Must be enrolled in an eligible academic program
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must meet any additional institutional or athletic department requirements
