About:
These studentships are an opportunity to join the University of Surrey’s Centre for Aerodynamics and Environmental Flow. The group conducts world-class research in experimental and computational fluid dynamics, with globally leading output in computational fluid mechanics, environmental fluid mechanics, turbomachinery, and wind energy. Our researchers also regularly collaborate with key players in the industry, including Rolls-Royce, Dstl, and Jaguar Land Rover. We also host the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Thermo-Fluid Systems and the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council’s Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Micro- and NanoMaterials and Technologies.
Eligibility:
- Candidates applying for Aerodynamics and environmental flow studentships can be both home (UK) and international students.
- UKRI will normally limit the proportion of international students appointed each year through individual doctoral training programs to 30% of the total.

- In place of a research proposal, you should upload a document stating the title of the projects that you wish to apply for (up to 2) and the name of the relevant supervisor(s), together with an explanation of your motivations for wanting to study for a Ph.D. and your reasons for selecting the project(s) you have chosen.
