Eligibility Criteria for Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) ARIES at University of Kent 2025:

Applicants must:

Be applying for a PhD (doctoral) program related to environmental sciences at the University of Kent through the ARIES Doctoral Training Partnership.
Be classified as a Home, EU, or International candidate.
Meet the academic entry requirements for doctoral study at Kent.
Demonstrate potential to contribute to cutting-edge environmental research and show engagement with societal and environmental issues.

Value of Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) ARIES at University of Kent 2025:

A doctoral stipend equivalent to the UK Research Councils National Minimum Doctoral Stipend, currently £20,780 per year.
Tuition fees at the Home rate are covered.
Additional research funding is provided.
For international candidates, the University of Kent will waive the difference between Home and International tuition fees.
