  • AAI Salzburg Scholarships,is open to nationals of non-European developing countries and be admitted into a university or university of applied sciences in Salzburg or Tyrol.
  • Ph.D. students must have approved disposition.
  • The age of students applying for master's studies must not be more than 30 years and those applying for Ph.D. studies must not be more than 35 years.
  • Mothers applying for master's programs must not be more than 35 years while those who are applying for Ph.D. studies must not be more than 40 years.
  • Applicants of AAI Salzburg Scholarships, 2018 should have a 'student' residence permit.
  • Candidates who belong to the following categories are ineligible for AAI Salzburg Scholarships,:
    • Short term visits and exchange programs
    • Studies at private universities
    • Applicants with a residence title other than “student”
    • Non-degree program students 
    • postgraduate study programs /other non-degree certificate programs
  • Financial need will be taken into consideration.
  • Applicants are required to provide proof of good progress in studies and be interested in development related issues.
