Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena: Rs 45.53 Crore Aid for 357 Students Pursuing Higher Education Abroad

The Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme is all set to disburse a substantial amount of Rs 45.53 crore to support 357 students pursuing higher education abroad. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will initiate the disbursement by clicking a button at his camp office in Tadepalli on Thursday.

This scheme aims to extend financial aid to students belonging to economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly from SC, ST, BC, and minority communities, who have secured admissions in renowned international universities. Qualified students from these communities will receive up to Rs 1.25 crore, while others will receive Rs 1 crore.

The government's commitment to supporting education for underprivileged communities is evident, as it has already disbursed Rs 65.48 crore under this scheme in the past six months. This initiative stands in contrast to the previous TDP regime, where funding was limited, leaving many students with pending dues totaling Rs 318 crore.

The Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme offers hope and empowerment to ambitious students from disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering a more inclusive and promising future.
