The scholarship program provides financial aid to international nursing students residing in nations ranked high on the Human Development Index so they can attend one of Ireland's top nursing and midwifery schools.
Eligibility for School of Nursing and Midwifery – International Scholarships at the University College Cork:
- To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must be applying as a self-funding applicant for an MSc. (Non-EU) Nursing or a current BSc. Nursing Studies.
- The applicant must be accepted into the School of Nursing and Midwifery at University College Cork, Ireland, for a full-time, one-year BSc. Nursing Studies or MSc. Nursing (Non-EU) program.
- For UCC fee reasons, the applicant must be classified as an international (non-EU) student.
Value of the scholarship:
MSc:
- 50% off for candidates who are self-funding and who live in nations that are rated between 116 and 191 on the Human Development Index will pay the €9,450 tuition.
- Students pay a tuition cost of €12,285 after they are eligible for 35% of scholarships for self-funding candidates who reside in countries rated between 67 and 115 on the Human Development Index.
BSc:
- 15% of applicants are self-funding and live in nations that are rated between 116 and 191 on the Human Development Index; tuition for these students is €9350.
- 10% of the tuition cost is covered by scholarships for all other self-funding candidates who are citizens of nations that are rated between 67 and 115 in the Human Development Index.
