Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship
To foster global governance talents with a wide international perspective, exceptional comprehensive skills, outstanding leadership abilities, and a multicultural background, the China Scholarship Council has implemented the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program.
Contents of Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship:
a) Enrolment: 200 students will be admitted.
b) Candidates: The program supports Master's students.
c) Language of instruction: English.
d) Training approach and duration: The curriculum typically leads to a master's degree and spans 12 months. Some programs follow the "1+1" model, requiring students to complete their full-time coursework and research at Chinese universities during the first academic year. Subsequently, they return to their home countries in the second academic year to work on their dissertations, which they must defend in China to obtain the degree.
e) Coverage: Full scholarship is provided.
Application requirements for Contents of Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship :
a) Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the People's Republic of China and be under 45 years of age, and in good mental and physical health.
b) Educational background: Applicants should hold at least a bachelor's degree, possess professional training, and have a minimum of three years of work experience. Preference will be given to those with relevant experience related to their proposed program.
c) Categories: Applicants should belong to one of the following four categories:
- Government officials at the division chief level or above.
- Senior managers of institutions or enterprises.
- Administrators of universities or research institutions.
- Individuals with relevant employment or internship experience in international organizations.
d) Pre-admission letter: The university's pre-admission letter must contain complete registration information, excluding any mention of having received or been promised a Chinese government scholarship.
The application process for the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship:
a) Online application: Applicants should access the Chinese Government Scholarship System (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to submit their application materials before April 30, 2023. They must have received a pre-admission letter from one of the 72 subprograms before applying. When applying online, they should choose "Type A" for "Scholarship Type," enter agency code 1563, and select "Youth of Excellence Scheme of China."
b) Handling of applications: The China Scholarship Council directly accepts individual applications and conducts reviews before arranging expert evaluations.
Assessment and enrollment:
a) Preliminary examination: The China Scholarship Council will conduct an initial review of the application materials.
b) Second examination: A panel of experts arranged by the China Scholarship Council will conduct a second evaluation. The final enrollment results will be announced after the expert review.
