Wayne State University is pleased to offer two #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarships for incoming, freshman international students for Fall 2025. International students who have a vision for leadership and improving cross-cultural understanding are recognized with this scholarship. The #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship from Wayne State is renewable every year as long as the beneficiaries are enrolled students in good standing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be international first-year undergraduates applying to Wayne State University. A person who is a citizen of a nation other than the United States but does not also hold permanent residence or citizenship in the United States is considered an international applicant.
- Candidates must show enthusiasm for and self-motivation toward intercultural learning and exchange activities.
Application Process:
- Apply for admission to Wayne State University and submit all required application documents.
- Submit the one-page #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship application to Wayne State by February 15, 2025.
- If awarded a scholarship, accept the scholarship and submit a tuition deposit by May 1, 2025.
Value of the Scholarship:
The #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship will allow recipients to study at WSU for the in-state tuition rate, a savings of more than USD 17,000 over the international student rate.
