Eligibility Criteria for the 1000 Women Learner Access Bursary at NorQuest College 2027:

  • Applicant must be enrolled in a NorQuest College credit programme for the Winter 2027 term.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need.
  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Applicant must not be receiving grants or other sponsorship funding, including Foundational Learning Assistance, WCB, Aboriginal funding, or Advancing Futures, that covers tuition, books, and/or mandatory college fees.
  • Applicant must submit a personal letter describing their educational and career goals and explaining how the bursary will help them access educational opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
  • Applicant must not have received more than one 1000 Women Learner Access Bursary per academic year, which runs from September to August.

Application Process:

  • Applicants are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
  • No separate bursary application is required.

Value of the Bursary:

  • For part-time study, CAD 125 per credit is awarded to the recipient, up to a maximum of 12 credits (CAD 1,500).
  • For full-time study, CAD 125 per credit is awarded to the recipient, up to a maximum of 15 credits (CAD 1,875).
