Widening Participation Postgraduate Scholarship at Imperial College London
The Bioengineering Master's Widening Participation Scholarship at Imperial College London provides full tuition fee funding and a stipend at the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) rate to support UK-domiciled students from underrepresented backgrounds pursuing a Master's degree in Bioengineering.
Eligibility Criteria of Widening Participation Postgraduate Scholarship:
- Applicants must have an offer for a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes) for Autumn 2026 by 31 March 2026, be a UK Home student, and have a household income of GBP 42,875 or less.
- Applicants must also come from a background that is underrepresented at the postgraduate level.
Application Process:
- Applicants must apply for a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes), submit their course application on time, receive an offer for 2026 entry by 25 March 2026, and firmly accept it before the scholarship deadline.
- Applicants must then complete the scholarship application form by 31 March 2026.
Award: GBP 5,000 towards tuition fees.
Note:
- Interviews are expected to be held in the week beginning 20 April 2026, and selected candidates will be notified by 1 May 2026; if applicants have not received any communication by 20 April 2026, they should assume they were not selected.
- The award is valid only for the 2026–27 entry, cannot be deferred or transferred, and is subject to acceptance of the scholarship Terms and Conditions.
