Wheatley Bursary at University of Queensland 2026

This scholarship was established in 2008 and is maintained from the income of a bequest from the late Marcelle Walden.

Eligibility Criteria for Wheatley Bursary at University of Queensland:

Applicants must:

• Be a current undergraduate student enrolled at UQ.
• Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts or a dual program that includes a major or extended major in political science and/or public policy.
• Have gained credit for 16–24 units in the approved program, with at least 4 units in a relevant field in a prior semester.
• Be 20 years old or older as of 1 January 2025.
• Demonstrate financial need as part of the application.

Students should apply through the online application form. Applicants will need to provide:

• Evidence of their academic studies to date.
• Proof of demonstrated financial need.

Value of the scholarship:

The scholarship will have a value of AUD 8,000, which will be awarded to the successful candidates.
