Western University offers the Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Indigenous Students to recognize outstanding Indigenous students entering their first year of undergraduate study directly from high school. The scholarship supports students with strong overall academic performance as they pursue their undergraduate education at Western University.

Eligibility criteria for the Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Indigenous Students at Western University 2026:

  • Applicants must be outstanding secondary-school students entering the first year of an undergraduate program at Western University directly from high school.
  • Applicants must be Indigenous students eligible for Western’s Indigenous student admission scholarship.
  • Applicants must demonstrate strong overall academic performance, as selection is based on overall academic performance.
  • Applicants must not have previously attended a post-secondary institution.
  • Applicants must meet the admission requirements for their selected undergraduate program.

Application Process for the Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Indigenous Students at Western University 2026:

  • Applicants must apply for admission to an eligible undergraduate program at Western University.
  • Applicants must complete the Black student self-identification to be considered for the scholarship.
  • Applicants are assessed based on their admission average, and no separate scholarship application is required.

Value: 30 scholarships at CAD 6,000 each

  • CAD 6,000 per year for up to 4 years, plus an additional CAD 2,000 for an optional study-abroad experience.
