Weis Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland
The Weis Scholarships, first offered in 2022 and funded by an endowment providing annual support, will support three students commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree (including double degree programs) at the University of Southern Queensland in 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
- be a commencing student
- be intending to enroll full-time at UniSQ in Trimester 1 2026, in one of the following programs (including double degree programs):
- Bachelor of Agricultural Technology and Management
- Bachelor of Science (Animal Science)
- Bachelor of Science (Food Science)
- Bachelor of Science (Plant Agricultural Science)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Agricultural Engineering)
- Bachelor of Business
Selection Criteria:
- Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences or influences driving your passion, and career goals/impact.
- Provide evidence of academic achievement (final-year school report card or post-secondary transcript) and proof of current financial circumstances.
Application Process:
Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
Award: a maximum value of AUD 12,000 to be paid over three years.
Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ-awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
