Overview

The scholarship you get for your first year at Waynesburg University is renewable and given for eight consecutive semesters of undergraduate study (summer excluded) on the main campus of the university, or until you graduate with a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.

Eligibility Criteria for the Waynesburg Opportunity Award / Grant at Waynesburg University 2026:

  • Students need to be enrolled in an undergraduate course with the university.
  • Students are reviewed on their high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

Application Process:

All first-year freshman students will be considered for an Achievement Award based on their application for admission.

Value of the Scholarship:

The students will receive USD 8,000.

Out-of-state students:

Out-of-state students who receive an Achievement Award also qualify for our State Scholarship, worth an additional $3,000/year. Additionally, students who travel more than 300 miles one way from their home address may qualify for a travel voucher for a campus visit.

Note: Scholarship amounts are reduced for students who do not reside in University housing.
