Overview

High-achieving international students at Washington State University are guaranteed to receive the International Academic Award. The Office of International Programs automatically awards these scholarships to qualifying students who are offered admission. Washington State University has initiated an International Academic Award for international students to assist with financial needs.

Eligibility criteria for the Washington State University International Academic Award:

  • Overseas participants of any nationality are eligible to join.
  • Applicants must maintain non-resident degree-seeking student status. 
  • Applicants must enroll in any undergraduate degree program in any field offered by the university.
  • Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 CGPA by the end of the spring semester.
  • Applicants must maintain 12 credits each semester or complete 24 semester credits by the end of the spring semester.

Value of the Award:

  • Level 1- A $4,000 per academic year tuition waiver is offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher.
  • Level 2—A $2,000 per academic year tuition waiver is offered to students with cumulative GPAs of 3.30 to 3.59.
