VUW Undergraduate International Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

This scholarship supports new international students intending to study for a Bachelor’s degree at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It is a partial fee-based scholarship, contributing towards tuition fees for one year of full-time, on-campus study. Applicants must be entering their first year of a Bachelor’s programme and demonstrate strong academic potential through their admission to the university.

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. The applicant must be an international student paying full international tuition fees and intending to study towards a Bachelor’s degree at Victoria University of Wellington.
2. The applicant must hold an unconditional or conditional Offer of Place for a Bachelor’s degree at Victoria University of Wellington.
3. The applicant must be a new student to Victoria University of Wellington, including those who have recently completed the University’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme or Foundation Studies programme.

Selection Criteria: 

1. The applicant is not required to submit a separate scholarship application.
2. The applicant will be assessed for eligibility automatically when applying for their Bachelor’s degree programme.
3. The applicant will be advised of the scholarship offer through their Offer of Place if selected as a recipient.

 Award: NZD 15,000.  The scholarship is applied directly to the tuition fees upfront, allowing students to pay the reduced amount to the University.

 Note: 

1. This scholarship will not appear on the recipient’s academic transcript.
2. This scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
