Vesta Community Mental Health Scholarship

This scholarship is available to social work majors interested in pursuing a social work career in behavioral health. Students must be entering their field placement in the fall semester and be placed in a community-based behavioral health setting and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above

Eligibility criteria:

  • The applicants must be pursuing majors in Social work careers in behavioral health. 
  • They must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.

Application process:

  • Students are required to apply at Scholarship Retriever if UMBC campus students and USG scholarship if Shady Grove campus students.
  • Once students are placed in a community behavioral health setting for their field placement, they should apply for a Vesta scholarship. Please apply between April 1-June 1.
  • The applicant must also answer the supplemental questions asked by the University.
    • Please share your interest in serving in a community behavioral health setting and your future goals in the field of social work.

Award: $4,000.00
