Eligibility

  • Applicants must be from Manitoba region in Canada.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree or first diploma program.
  • Successful must accept a summer internship program at Vale Manitoba Operations.

Documents Required

  • Completed application form is to be submitted.
  • Applicants who are enrolled in bachelor's degree or diploma program must present an official transcript of the last three terms of marks.
  • All other previous academic transcripts must also be submitted.
  • Applicants must submit an essay limited to 250 words, describing their extra circular activities and any community involvement in the past five years.
  • Another essay of 250 words on why they should be selected for the scholarship.
  • Three signed reference letters.
  • Applicant must write his official email address on the form.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates are selected based on their academic merit.
  • Candidates involvement in communities and extracurricular activities is considered.
  • Reference letters quality and relevance are gauged.

Value and Duration of the Scholarship

  • $5,000 CAD towards bachelor degree program, the duration is up to five consecutive years or until the first bachelor degree is obtained.
  • $2,500 CAD towards diploma program, the duration is up to three consecutive years or until the first diploma is obtained.
