This scholarship was established in 2008 and maintained by funds from donors and The University of Queensland.

Eligibility for UQ Sports Achievement Scholarships:

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or the holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.
  • Applicants must be the new or continuing student who is or intends to be, enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic achievements to date,
  • Leadership achievements and capabilities,
  • Elite-level sporting achievements in your chosen sport.

Application Process:

  • All eligible candidates must apply online through the university sports website.
  • The candidates may have to provide academic and sporting results.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum that is disclosed at the discretion of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
