University of Stavanger Doctoral fellowship in Archaeology, 2017-18 to promising researchers who wish to conduct research in the field of Archaeology.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants of University of Stavanger Doctoral fellowship in Archaeology, 2017-18 should possess a strong academic background.
- Applicants should possess a masters degree in Archaeology or equivalent qualifications.
- Applicants must have obtained a grade of master’s thesis and the weighted average grade of the master’s degree of at least B grade.
- Candidates applying for University of Stavanger Doctoral fellowship in Archaeology, 2017-18 will be assessed on the basis of applicants' potential for research and suitability for research.
- Applicants should be innovative and creative and also have the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Applicants should be fluent in both written and oral English language.
- Applicants who address the following themes in an innovative way will be given priority:
- Processes of change in the Viking and/or Medieval Periods
- Early urbanization processes
- The Archaeometry of technological processes in the Viking and/or Medieval Periods
