The University of Melbourne Housing Bursary is awarded to assist students who need to live away from home to attend university.

Eligibility for University of Melbourne Housing Bursary:

Applicants must:

Be enrolled in a course at the University of Melbourne. Students undertaking a single subject or a non-award course (e.g. study abroad or exchange) are not eligible.
Be paying rent or board. Students paying mortgages are not eligible.

Selection criteria:
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of financial need.

Application Process:

There is no need for a separate application; eligible students will be considered automatically based on their general application.

Value of the Bursary:

This bursary provides a living allowance of up to $4000 for one year, paid in two instalments, on the half yearly allowance pay days in April and September.
