Eligibility Criteria for Edinburgh Legal Education Trust LLM by Research (LLMR) Scholarships:

Applicants must:

Hold, by the start of the LLMR programme:
- An honours degree in law, or
- An ordinary law degree plus an honours degree in another discipline.
Be accepted by the University of Edinburgh for the LLM by Research in Scots Private Law.
Be seeking to start in September 2026.
Preference may be given to those intending to progress to a PhD.
UK and international students are eligible.
Proposed research must focus on Scots private law.
