Umeå University Scholarship for International Students:

Umeå University Scholarship for International Students is  merit-based scholarship awarded  to ademically accomplished students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are admitted to English-taught degree programs.

Eligibility for Umeå University Scholarship for International Students:

  • The applicant should hold citizenship in a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
  • Applicants must apply to a Umeå University Master’s programme in Design through the first/international admissions round and complete their application by 15 January 2026.
  • The application fee must be paid by 2 February 2026, with the Design programme listed as Priority 1.
  • Current Students- Have paid the Spring 2026 tuition fee and are registered in a Master’s programme in Design.

Selection Process:

  • Candidates are selected by the respective faculty committee after the registration deadline.
  • Selection is based on academic merit and relevant information provided in the registration form.

Value of the Scholarship:

  •  Full or partial waiver of the tuition fee
