Udall Undergraduate Scholarship by Udall foundation 2024

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship honors the legacies of Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall, whose careers significantly impacted Native American self-governance, health care, and the stewardship of public lands and natural resources.

Future leaders in environmental policy, tribal public policy, and health care are identified through the Scholarship Program. Before the Udall Foundation considers a student, they compete internally in a highly competitive environment at their schools. Scholars must complete a multi-day Scholar Orientation event to receive their award.

Value of the Scholarship:

 The Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 55 scholarships of $7,000 each.

Application Process:

Candidates need to submit an online application.

Udall's application will consist of:

• An application consisting of eleven questions
• Eight hundred words explaining the main principles of the Udall Foundation.
• All college course transcripts
• Three recommendation letters addressing your leadership, community involvement, and academic performance.

Additional documentation is required for applicants in Tribal public policy and health care, and eligible U.S. permanent residents.
