Overview
The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship honors the legacies of Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall, whose careers significantly impacted Native American self-governance, health care, and the stewardship of public lands and natural resources. Future leaders in environmental policy, tribal public policy, and health care are identified through the Scholarship Program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be US citizens, or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be in their sophomore or junior-level at an accredited higher education institution.
- Applicants must pursue careers related to the environment.
- Applicants must meet other appropriate eligibility requirements set by the Udall Foundation.
Application Process:
Candidates need to submit an online application. The application should include the following components:
- An application consisting of eleven questions;
- Eight hundred words explaining the main principles of the Udall Foundation;
- All college course transcripts;
- Three recommendation letters addressing the leadership, community involvement, and academic performance.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of $7,500 each.
Note: Additional documentation is required for applicants in Tribal public policy and health care, and eligible U.S. permanent residents.
