University College London is offering UCL Access Opportunity Scholarships to support those, who because of their immigration status are not able to secure student loans for their higher education.

Eligibility for UCL Access Opportunity Scholarships:

  • Applicants must hold an offer of a place in a UCL undergraduate program.
  • Applicants must be asylum seekers, children of asylum seekers, or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children who are seeking asylum in the UK OR forced migrants who are based in the UK and have been granted a temporary form of leave as the result of an asylum application or human rights application (e.g. limited leave to remain, discretionary leave to remain, humanitarian protection) 
  • Applicants must be unable to access student finance (tuition fee or maintenance loan) because of their immigration status.

Value of UCL Access Opportunity Scholarships:

  • The successful applicants of UCL Access Opportunity Scholarships will receive :
    • Tuition fees.
    • Living expenses of GBP 13,762 per year.
  • Annual renewal of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
