Tony Shukle and Louis A. Shukle Science Teacher Preparation Scholarship 

The purpose of this scholarship is intended to support scholarships for students at Sacramento State, studying to be science teachers, preferably at the middle or secondary school level.

Eligibility criteria for Tony Shukle and Louis A. Shukle Science Teacher Preparation Scholarship -

• The applicant must be pursuing majors in Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, Geography, or Geology.
• They must have minimum GPA: 3.0 GPA in good academic standing.
• The class Level: Undergrad: Sophomore, Junior, Senior. Graduate: Classified.
• The financial need is preferred, but is not required.

NOTE - 

• Applicants must submit a 250-500-word essay describing their interest in teaching science and future career goals.
• Preference for students participating in Science Subject Matter program or in the Physics BA Teacher Preparation Concentration or similar programs should they exist in the future.
• Student receipted(s) are eligible to reapply for the scholarship award and receive the award up to two (2) years. Applicants will be considered by the scholarship committee as a part of the entire pool.
