An exceptional writer from the Middle East, North Africa, or the Indian subcontinent will be able to pursue studies in the university's esteemed Department of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing at UEA thanks to the Sonny and Gita Mehta Scholarship for Writers.

Eligibility for The Sonny and Gita Mehta Scholarship for Writers:

• Applicants must be from the Indian subcontinent, Middle East, or North Africa, or self‑identify as Roma.
• Applicants must hold an offer to study a Master’s in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia in the Department of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing.
• Applicants must be self‑funded.
• Applicants must demonstrate genuine financial need.
• Applicants must show outstanding creative writing potential.
• Applicants must be enrolled in an eligible MA Creative Writing programme such as Prose Fiction, Poetry, or Scriptwriting.
